We regret to announce the passing of Mr. Sidney Wallace Doster, age 66, of Sautee Nacoochee, GA who passed away Monday, December 28, 2009 at Laurel Baye Nursing Home.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2009, at 3:30 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Marshall Singletary officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:00 until 3:30.
Mr. Doster was born in Donalsonville, GA on June 12, 1943 to the late Comer and Lois Brooks Doster. He was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church in Donalsonville. Mr. Doster was a retired construction teacher from Miller County High School and had worked for Delta Airlines. He was a homebuilder and had served his country in the United States Air Force.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Kathy Doster of Sautee Nacoochee, GA; a daughter, Jennifer Doster Mathis and her husband Rob of Gainesville, GA; a granddaughter, Jenna Mathis of Gainesville, GA; a brother, David Doster and his wife Helen of Donalsonville, GA; a sister, Martha Ann Hartsfield and her husband Pete of Tallahassee, FL; as well as several nieces and nephews and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents Comer and Lois Brooks Doster.
Active casketbearers will be Shane Harris, Tom Hartsfield, Rob Hartsfield, Rick Hartsfield, and Zeb Daniels.
