Charles D. Beegle, a well-known resident of Bedford, died of infirmities due to advanced age at his home on N. Thomas Street, here March 15th. He was born on December 30, 1845. He was married to Sarah Holderbaum who preceded him in death.Mr. Beegle was a retired Lieutenant of the Police of the Penna. Railroad and was placed upon the Honor Roll of that company after more than 25 years of service. He was a member of the P.O.S. of A., and belonged to the Lutheran congregation. Surviving are the following children: Rollie B. Beegle, of Lincoln Place, Pa.; Ellis A. Beegle, of Coraopolis, Pa., and Mrs. N.F. Shick, of Emporium, Pa. Percy, a son died 23 years ago, and a daughter, Mrs. John B. McLaughlin died in April of last year.A brother, William Beegle, also survives and resides in Johnstown.
