Mrs. Johnson graduated from Monterey High School and worked for Monterey Lanes for eight years before becoming the housekeeping supervisor at Canterbury Woods, where she remained for 17 years.
She enjoyed bowling and roller skating. She loved gardening and was known for the beautiful roses she grew.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband, Kenneth; a daughter of Carmel; a brother of Clear Lake; a sister, Gloria Silva of Red Bluff; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Little Chapel by-the-Sea in Pacific Grove with inurnment to follow at El Carmelo Cemetery. The Paul Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
