An esteemed citizen was lost to Humbird and vicinity when Norman Hart answered the final summons at about 12:15 o'clock last Monday afternoon, after a long illness. Although he had suffered greatly at times, the end came peacefully. Mr. Hart had been in failing health for a year or more from arterial affliction, and for about six months was confined to his bed most of the time.
Funeral services were held at the M.E. church Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, and many friends and neighbors during his near to fifty years residence in the community assembled in the congregation for the last rites. Mr. Hart many years ago affiliated with the Free Methodist church, and Rev. E.A. Wolfe, pastor of the Free Methodist congregation, preached an impressive burial sermon. Many beautiful floral emblems were placed about the casket and alter. Burial was in Mentor cemetery.

Gaffield. In 1886, this young couple moved to a homestead east of Humbird. After several years they established their home northeast of the village now occupied by their son Harry. In 1901, Mr. Hart purchased the meat market in Humbird, which business he operated until 1913, when he retired. He resided in the village until his death, April 29, 1935, at the age of 76 years, 1 month and 7 days.
