Mrs. Leona A. Boring
Private funeral services for Mrs. Leona A. Boring, 48, wife of Jack Boring, take place at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Woods Funeral Home here with Rev. Francis Grantz officiating.
Following the private service the body will be taken to the Bethany Covenant Church, Quarry avenue, where services take place at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Mr. Grantz officiating. Burial will be in Lakelawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. Boring, who resided at 125 DuBois st., died at 4:50 p.m. Saturday in the DuBois Hospital. Friends may call at the funeral home.
Mrs. Boring was born May 9, 1909 in Austin, Pa., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Brownell. She came to DuBois with her family many years ago.
She attended the local schools. She was married to Jack (Jess) Boring 26 years ago. He survives, Mrs. Boring was interested in the welfare of several children here. She was a member of the Bethany Covenant Church.
She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Brownell, DuBois; her husband, four brothers, Gilbert, Wilfred, Leslie and Paul, all of DuBois; her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Nettie Jobson, DuBois; and two sisters, Betty, Washington, D.C.; and Mrs. Doris Cole, Warren, Ohio.
