JOHN ALLEN
Funeral services for John Allen, 39, of Urbandale, were held Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton. John departed this life on May 10, 2008. John is now at peace with the Lord and will be missed by all.
John Paul Allen was born on April 20, 1969 in Chariton, Iowa to Noel and Connie Allen. He graduated from Chariton High School in 1987 and from DMACC in 2005, where he achieved academic recognition by being inducted into Phi Beta Kappa fraternity.
Growing up John enjoyed Little League baseball, tennis, music, and spending time with family and friends. As a child, John loved the time he spent with his grandparents. His true passion in life were his boys, Nicholas Noel and Joseph John.
John was married to Angela Chipp and they were blessed with the two sons mentioned above. In 2001, John was united in marriage to Mary Hillard.
John is survived by his sons, Nick and Joe; his wife, Mary Josephine Allen; his parents, Noel Vernon and Connie Marie Allen; his sister, Jodi (Rob) Fenley; nieces, Skyler and Hayley Fenley; his grandmother, Elizabeth Janetta Snuggs, (Grandma Crackers).
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Marjorie Littleton White, and grandfather, Orval Snuggs.
