Horace Kendall Kelland, aka Ho, 97, died peacefully on Wednesday, June 23rd. Ho had spent the last twenty years in Charleston and Fishers Island, N.Y. and before that, he divided his time between London and the island of Capri. As an author and editor, Ho's best-known book was An Almost Perfect Gent. He was a true gentleman with an aesthetic appreciation of the beautiful things in life, and he lived fully and well. Ho will be missed by his many friends for his wit, his intelligence, his discerning tastes and wry sense of humor.....but his spirit will live on in the many lives he touched. Ho loved the Charleston Library Society and in lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the Charleston Library Society, 164 King Street, Charleston SC 29401. Arrangements are being made through PALMETTO CREMATION SOCIETY, Charleston, SC.

He was the son of famous author Clarence Budinton Kelland and Elizabeth Smith Kelland.
