Eugene Howard Kingery of 522 N. Second Ave. died Tuesday, December 25, at his home at the age of 73. A former until his retirement in 1970, Mr. Kingery moved to Winterset from Grand River township about five years ago.

Born on October 15, 1906 in Monroe Township, he was the son of Ira and Anna Davis Kingery. He was united in marriage to Alice Maxine Osborn on January 29, 1930 in Winterset. His wife survives him.

Mr. Kingery was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Winterset, the Odd Fellows Lodge and was a 50-year member of Modern Woodmen.

Also surviving are a brother, Richard Kingery of Loveland, Colo., and two sisters, Ruth Thomas of Phoenix, Ariz. and Catherine Croft of Winterset. He was preceded in death by his parents; three infant daughters, Cecil Anne, Alice Gene and Kathie Joyce, and an infant son Ira Lawrence.
