Herbert Baim, 69, of 820 Lincoln Way W., Apt. 211, Mishawaka, formerly of South Bend, died at 2:50 a.m. today in Memorial Hospital after a six-month illness. He was born on March 13, 1908, in South Bend and lived here until 1964, when he moved to Los Angeles. He returned to the area in 1977. In April 1929, in Chicago, he married Frieda [sic] Epstein, who survives, along with a daughter, Mrs. Maxine Mather of Brewster, Mass.; five grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Florence Wedel, Mrs. Rose Silberman and Mrs. Sylvia Strauss, all of Mishawaka, and Mrs. Esther Scholnik [sic] of Phoenix, Ariz., and a brother, Oscar of South Bend.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, by Rabbie Elliot Rosenstock of Temple Beth-El. Baim was a member of Tample [sic] Beth-El, and was a partner in a surplus warehouse in Los Angeles. Memorial contributions may be made to charity.
