PIEDMONT – Tammy Harmon Anthony, 47, of 330 Trotter Road, lost her short but courageous battle with colon/liver cancer on Saturday, May 19, 2012. Tammy, as she was known to friends, was the youngest daughter of Jim and Shirley Harmon, of Pelzer, and the daughter-in-law of Earlene Anthony and the late Don Anthony, Sr., of Piedmont.

She was an underwriter for Smart Choice Insurance Agency and was a member of Marathon Church in Powdersville. Tammy loved life and her family and held a deep devotion to God.

In addition to her parents and her mother-in-law, she leaves behind her husband of 24 years, Don Anthony, a son, Benjamin Ross Anthony, and a daughter, Katelyn Elyse Anthony, all of the home. Tammy also leaves behind four siblings and their spouses, Tony (Blanche) Harmon, of Sierra Vista, AZ, Terri (Terry) Blackston, Tim (Millie) Harmon, and Todd (Emily) Harmon, all of Williamston; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

A celebration of Tammy's life will be held at Marathon Church at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 24, 2012, with the Reverend Mickey Gambrell, her pastor in her youth, and the Reverend Eddie Cox, Senior Pastor of Marathon and her current pastor. The family is at the residence. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cancer Association of Anderson, 215 E. Calhoun Street, Anderson, SC 29621.
