Funeral services for Mrs. Hertha B. Thompson, 70, of Leesville were Oct. 27, in the Jackson Chapel Church of Christ, the Rev. John Littleton and Bro. Irby Perkins Jr. officiated. Mrs. Thompson died Friday, Oct. 25, in the
Beauregard Memorial Hospital in DeRidder. She was a native of Germany and a longtime resident of the Vernon Parish area. She was a former owner and operator of Don's Pawn Shop and L.H. Swifty Mart. Survivors include her husband, Larry Dean Thompson of Leesville; one daughter of Leesville; one son of Pickering; one brother of Bamberg, Germany; one sister of Three Oaks, Mich., and five grandchildren.
Services were under the direction of the Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville.
