Mary Dorothy Pusch, 53, of Talent died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2010, at Rogue Valley Medical Center in Medford.A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Wilderville Community Church, with the Rev. Charles Chase officiating. A reception will follow. Chapel of the Valley-L.B. Hall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.She was born Maria Dorotea Urioste on Sept. 5, 1956, in Las Vegas, N.M. In 1978, she married William C. Pusch, who died Dec. 11, 1997. They moved to Grants Pass in 1980 from Arcata, Calif. She earned an associate's degree in math and science from Rogue Community College and a bachelor's degree in education with a math endorsement from Southern Oregon State College (now Southern Oregon University) in 1990. She taught for one year at Lincoln Savage Middle School and for two years at South Umpqua High School. She also worked as a substitute teacher at many Southern Oregon schools and taught math at Rogue Community College from 1991 to 2010. From 2006 to 2010, she was a bilingual customer service representative at Fire Mountain Gems.She was a member of Wilderville Community Church and she enjoyed making jewelry, knitting and spending time with her loved ones.Survivors include three daughters, Elizabeth Pusch of Talent, Audrey Graham of Grants Pass, and Cristine Campos of Durham, N.C.; her mother, Isabel Salazar of Ribera, N.M.; and a grandson.
