Thomas Adams died Thursday night after a short illness at his home, 157 Upper Spring street. He was employed as foreman in the blacksmith shop of the Ohio Falls Iron Works. Wednesday he was seized by a severe pain in the stomach, and was obliged to quit work. He was 63 years old and leaves a wife and two daughters. He was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge at Bedford, and was a highly respected citizen. - New Albany Public Press 28 Aug 1895
