Briscoe, 89, died Wednesday, May 9, 2012.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. MST Saturday in La Veta Cemetery in La Veta, Colo., with Lewis Heisch
officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Mrs. Briscoe was born Oct. 10, 1922, in Perryton, Texas, to Linus and Ruby Taylor. She loved to garden and do home canning, which she shared with family and friends. She was an excellent cook and homemaker. One of her
hobbies was fishing at Middle Creek. She also quilted,
crocheted and enjoyed
listening to religious tapes. Mrs. Briscoe was a member of The Apostolic Faith Church. She faithfully read her Bible.

She was preceded in death by her husband, G.E. Briscoe; three grandsons; a brother; and five sisters.

Survivors include four daughters, Marjorie Breeding of Amarillo, Texas, Ruby Ervin and husband Ron of Irving, Texas, and Marietta Heisch and husband Lewis and Loveta Briscoe, all of Clovis; a son, Michael Briscoe and wife Kim of Poncha Springs, Colo.; a sister, Pauline Erwin of Amarillo; nine grand-
children; nine great-
grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family suggests
memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105.
