Passed away unexpectedly on April 24, 2012 in a motor vehicle accident. Born in Tallassee, AL, he was a long time resident of Falls Church, VA. He was preceded in death by his parents Orville and Hollins Blake.

Tom graduated from Auburn University in 1972 and began working with the Internal Revenue Service. He later transferred to Department of Justice and retired in 2008. Tom also proudly served in the U.S. Navy

Seabees for over 20 years and was a veteran of the Vietnam and the 1990-91 Gulf Wars.

Tom was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hiking and working in the National Parks. A graveside service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 10 AM. Please assemble at the Administration Building by 9:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Grand Canyon Trust at www.grandcanyontrust.org.
