Alfred "Freddy" Carmichael, 68, died on April 26, 2012 at Parkridge Hospital.
He was an employee of the Chattanooga Public School system.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Priscilla Carmichael; sisters, Alice Pitner, Annette McGahee and Agnes Leslie; brothers, Anthony, Andrew, Alvin and Alan Carmichael.
Survivors include his children, Alfred Carmichael, Jr. and Kimberly Carmichael; sister, Arlene (George) Daniels of Chicago, IL; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at noon at Highland Memorial Gardens.
The body will lie in state after noon on Friday, May 4, 2012 at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, Chattanooga, TN.
