MILROY - Dorothy E. Pecht, 91, of 283 S. Main St., Milroy, died at 4:30 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2012, at her home.
Born Feb. 28, 1921, in Milroy, she was the daughter of the late Orris W. and Sara Eva (Barger) Pecht.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Bertha M. Pecht, Helen M. Knepp, Katherine Jochen and Eunice Ewing.
Surviving are a number of nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was a graduate of Milroy High School, Juniata College and Moody Bible Institute.
She taught at Mount Union Elementary School for four years and served as a missionary for 32 years in Africa.
She was a member of South Dalton Baptist Church, Dalton, Ga., and attended Calvary Bible Church, in Lewistown.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 30, at Woodlawn Cemetery, Milroy, with the Rev. Victor B. Jochen officiating. There will be no public viewing.
