Moose, you were a talented, class act playing for a classy team at a time when athletes were real role models for American youth. You will be missed. Good job. Rest well and God Bless.

Happy Birthday, Mr. Skowron. You were, are, and will always represent everything which is right with the national pastime. Thank you for the countless memories and moments you have and continue to provide for myself and generations of fans, young and old. Had the honor of meeting you at a convention in my area a few years ago. You were an absolute gentleman. May God continue to bless and watch over you and those you love then, now, and always.RIP

Moose. I met you in Albany NY at a Mall show. You were up on a platform with some of the older Yankees signing autographs. I was in a wheelchair and wasn't able to come up the steps. You looked down and spotted me and you got up and walked down to where I was and autographed a pennant for me and my wife took our picture. I will never forget your kindness that day. I know you're back playing ball up there. RIP Moose.

You were a great Yankee. They couldn't afford to pitch around Mantle or Maris as they then had to face you. The Yankees blew it when they traded you to LA for Stan Williams. Rest in peace, Moose.

I was saddened to hear about your passing.I grew up watching the 1961 Yankees and they are still my only collecting interest.I have a signed baseball from Moose and also one of his game used bats.He was my hero and I was always in awe every time that I met him.He was a true professional in every sense of the word.He had 165 HR's as a Yankee and appeared in 7 World Series in his 9 years in pinstripes. He hit over .300 5 times and homered 2 times in a game for the Yanks 12 times. He had 5 hits in a game on 9/21/56 and on 7/28/56,he drove in 7 runs in a game.He told me once about cussing after an at bat and as he went down the length of the dugout,he was still cussing until he passed Bobby Richardson and he said "Sorry,Bobby" then began the tirade again.RIP # 14,you will always be with us in memory.

We love ya Moose. A true Chicagoan and competitor who never gave up. While you played for some other teams, it was obvious your love for the Windy City was first and foremost. God bless, Moose- the Sox Universe will never forget you!
