Arthur C. Fuentes, was born on July 16, 1947 and passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2006.
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, Placido and Eileen Fuentes and his step-brother, Lawrence Romero.
Arthur was a 1965 Albuquerque High School graduate who excelled in basketball under the coaching of Coach Hulsman.
Arthur served for 22 years and retired from the United States Air National Guard. Arthur was known for his love of cooking New Mexican food for his family and friends. Arthur loved and encouraged us by his famous phrase, "Not to worry," because he believed that life was too short to worry. Arthur had no enemies and knew forgiveness through his belief in his Lord Jesus Christ.
Arthur was a devoted husband, a loving father, and he will be missed.
A Prayer Service will be held on Friday, December 29, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at New Life City Church, 4830 Pan American Freeway NE. Services will also be held on Saturday, December 30, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at New Life City Church. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Pallbearers will be Manuel Luna, Josh Vigil, Marvin García, Camillo García, Danny Montoya and Wilfred Valles. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Clark, Mathew Fuentes, Edward Fuentes and Rodney Fuentes. Friends may visit French Mortuary on Friday, December 29, 2006 from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted at any Bank of the West: Account Titled: Cecilia M. Ketner FBO/Arthur C. Fuentes memorial and burial fund.
