James A. "Jim" Baker, 79, was a son of Cecil E. and Zola E. Good Baker. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Grover Clark Baker; and one sister, Amy Louise (Baker) Frye. He married Elisabeth Jane Stone in May 1956 in Peoria. She survives.

He is also survived by a son, James C. (Susan) Baker, Saybrook; three daughters, Cindy Ellen Baker, Bloomington; Marilyn E. Mehl, Naperville and Diana (Jim) Gibson, Hennepin; one brother, John Baker, Normal; three sisters, Betty Lockhart, Oregon; Sue Pollack, California and Ruth Lacoy, Oregon; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He served in the U.S. Army.
