Motion Picture and Television Director. Following service with the US Army Air Force during World War II, he entered the entertainment industry as a puppeteer with the Berkeley Marionettes, before moving onto TV where he landed positions as a stage manager and associate director. He advanced to director beginning with the series "Kraft Television Theater" and garnered the first of several Emmy Awards with a 1961 episode from the series "The Defenders". Bogart's most prolific work was his directing efforts from "All in the Family" which totaled roughly 90 credits. His mark in films includes the features "Halls of Anger" (1969), "Marlowe" (1969), "The Skin Game" (1972) and "Oh God!, You Devil" (1984).
