THE PARIS NEWS, 25 Feb 1977..

Mrs. Vickers died Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Funeral services for Mrs. Sydney M. (Ila) Vickers, formerly of 558 Neagle, were held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. James Elsom of Ramseur Baptist Church and the Rev. Kirk Ballard of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, officiated. Burial in Meadowbrook Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Dawson Ballard, Delbert Ballard, Tony Ballard, Mike Ballard, Marshal Ray Bennett and Morris Melton.
