NOTE: Ludwig Shoup joined the Militia of Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania on 11/18/1780 and served in the Revolutionary War. He was first assigned to Captain John Bush's Company, then later was assigned to Captain Seely's Company. He became a Private 6th Class and fought until 1783. On 4/17/1818 he started receiving a pension of $8/month. Per usgwarchives.net records, Ludwig was residing in the State of Pennsylvania and was placed on the Pension Roll of the United States under the Act of Congress of the 18th day of March 1818.
