Fay Austin, excellent wife, loving mother and grandmother, age 74, passed away November 3, 1998 in Murray, Utah.
Born April 7, 1924 in Bluffdale, Utah, daughter of Lorenzo D. and Leah Rowsell Spencer. Married Ray Austin April 17, 1943 in Ely, Nevada. She became a member of a closely knit non-denominational group in 1953. She loved animals and enjoyed the outdoors and her cabin. Fay's children and grandchildren have been the highlight of her life. Her devotion and unconditional love for them was her greatest strength.
Survived by husband, Ray; sons, Larry (Dottie) Austin, Los Alamos, New Mexico; Michael (Carol) Austin, West Jordan; daughters, Deanna Chafee, Sandy; Shanna (Harvey) Olson, Taylorsville; 13 grandchildren, Devi Bergh, Lisa Grillo, Hester Austin, Kevin Chafee, Richard Chafee, Becki Chafee, Scott Olson, Stacy Bush, Heidi Olson, Marty Olson, Kyle Austin, Teri Austin, and Tiffany Austin; four great-grandchildren, Ryan, Kellan, Brianne Bergh and Kelsie/Faye Bush; sisters, Lavon Mason, Midvale; Barbara McFarlane, Sandy; and many dear and close friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, 2 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road where friends may call Thursday, 6-8 p.m. and Friday, 1-1:45 p.m.
Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.
