Colt Allan Porter, 15, of Gratiot, died Tuesday afternoon, May 18, 2004, after a one-car accident.
He was born July 3, 1988, in Zanesville, the son of Pat and Paula "Polly" Watkins Porter. He attended the Zanesville First Christian Church of the Nazarene, was a sophomore at West Muskingum High School, where he was active in football, baseball, and wrestling, and was a member of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA). Colt loved all sports including golf, snowboarding and boating.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his maternal grandparents, Donald and Sandy Watkins of Brownsville; paternal grandmother, Charlotte Porter of Hopewell; maternal great-grandmother, Norma Watkins of Zanesville; four aunts and uncles and eight cousins, Penny and Dave Scott and their daughter Angie Porter, Polly and Rick Jesse and their children Ryan Porter and Jared and Kali Jesse, Angie and Donny Clouse and their children Drew and Lauren Clouse, and Terrie Elliott and her children Nicole and Michelle Smith; four second cousins, Sidney Smith, Paige Novaria, Hunter Porter and Jarrett Alford; and his special pet, Lucas.
