Miss Josephine Dunford, former Roman, died Sunday at 11:30 p.m. in an Oakland, Calif. hospital following an extended illness.
Miss Dunford was born in Rome on May 31,1902, daughter of Mrs. Carrie Mize Dunford of Oakland, Calif. and the late John Dunford.
She received her education in the Rome public schools, and was a graduate of Rome High School. She had spent the greater portion of her life in Rome prior to moving to California 20 years ago. A brother, Howard Dunford died earlier this year.
Surviving, besides her mother, is a brother, William C. Dunford of Oakland. Local survivors include two aunts, Mrs. E. P. Logan and Mrs. A. L. Mize both of Rome; and several cousins, including Mrs. W. H. Austin of Rome.
Funeral services and interment are scheduled later this week at Oakland.
