(February 21, 1918 - March 25, 2012)

Elberta R. Black, 94, formerly of 206 W. Wesley Street, Walhalla, SC, twice married first to the late Lewis Riehle, and second to the late C.E. Black, died Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Lila Doyle Nursing Center. A native of Salem, SC, Mrs. Black was the daughter of Elbert Crayton and Elizabeth (Lizzie) Grant Alexander. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and Mabel Deal Aull, and Pilot Club. She retired from the School District of Oconee County.
Mrs. Black is survived by a brother Derrell Alexander of Wyoming.
In addition to her husbands and parents, Mrs. Black was preceded in death by two sisters Anne A. Beale, and Geneva A. Reece.
A funeral service will take place Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Davenport Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 from 10:00-11:00 AM at Davenport Funeral Home.
