CARMICHAEL, Fay E. Burley, 96, of North Avenue, Cameron, W.Va., went to be with beloved husband, Herbert Carmichael on Thursday, June 12, 2008.

She was born September 28, 1911 in Cameron, Marshall County, W.Va., the daughter of the late James and Leona Buzzard Burley.

She was a 1931 graduate of Cameron High School; the co-owner of Cameron Hardware for 42 years with her husband; was a member of Cameron United Methodist Church; Order of Eastern Star Loraine Chapter 9; a quilt maker; and she and her husband loved to travel the world.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Knoop; and an infant daughter and son.

Survivors include a niece, Margaret (Jack) Winter; a grandnephew, Justin (Diane) Winter; a grandniece, Alyson R. Winter; all of Canonsburg, Pa.; and her faithful caregivers, Vicky Minor, Joann Burley, Sally Scott, and Angel Galentine.

Family will receive friends on Saturday from 2-8 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home and Crematory, 400 Jefferson Avenue, Moundsville, where funeral services will be held on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Jim Higginson officiating.

Interment in Halcyon Hills Memorial Park, Sherrard, W.Va.
