Died 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, 1989, at Lane Memorial Hospital, Zachary. She was 72, a native of Walker and a resident of Baker.

Visiting at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, 2 to 10 p.m. Friday and after 8 a.m. Saturday. Religious services at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Billy Minyard. Burial in Stafford Cemetery.

Survived by a son, B. Marvin Carter, Baker; two sisters, Mrs. Velma DeRouen and Mrs. Stevie Milton, both of Walker; two brothers, Bowers Stafford, Satsuma, and Adolophus [sic Adolphus] Stafford, Walker; and two grandchildren, Michael and Kevin Carter, both of Baker.

Preceded in death by husband, Ernest Carter.
