As you said, paraphrased here about women: What if there is no heaven,or anything or something else...yes, what if,I say. There you lay a sweet dear ghost...and yet, we still do not know, nor will we(I fear)ever know. Not long are we all seemingly forgotten, yet you are not because of your work/thank you, although I do not think you can hear me. I think sadly, that it is actually "lights out forever," when we die.We all fear death as you did,and there you lay. People must be constantly reminded by Churches and ministers to keep believing, as if we need motivational speakers. We must,if we are to believe at all. Brainwashed,if you will. I've grown to love you too,Mary. You have have left your mark and for that, I and many others are grateful. XOXOXO kisses

Mr. and Mrs. Chesnut, As an American History teacher, the stories of your lives are celebrated in my classroom. My students become especially aware of Col. (then) Chesnut's role at Fort Sumter, and everything that Mrs. Chesnut had to say. I humbly portray Mary in my classroom. You live on!Thank you for the Journal!
