Collis Lund's paternal grandparents, Paul and Anne Larsen Lund migrated from Denmark in 1853. They arrived in New Orleans and traveled by ox cart to Utah where Collis and his twin brother, Hollis were born. Paul Lund was an earl in Denmark until he married Anne Larsen, when his family disowned him. There is supposed to be a family coat of arms.
