Mrs. Frances Day Beach, widow of George R. Beach, former resident of this city, died Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. G. W. Brumbaugh, in Dayton, O., according to word received by her sister, Mrs. Edward Fawcett, New Albany. The body will arrive Sunday night and will be taken to the house of Miss Emily Beach, 1417 East Main street, where the funeral services will beheld at 10 o'clock Monday morning, the Rev. Dr. Frank J. Mallett, rector of St. Paul's Episcopal church officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Mrs. Beach was a native of this city. After the death of her husband several years ago, she removed to Terre Haute, Ind., and later went to Dayton to reside. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Brumbaugh and Miss Cornelia Beach, a public school teacher in Louisville. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Fawcett and Miss Jennie Day, of New York, former popular local teacher in the public schools. Mrs. Beach, who was widely known here, was a member of Jefferson Lodge of Masons; New Albany Chapter, Royal Arch Masons; Indiana Council, Royal and Select Master Masons; New Albany Commandery, Knights Templar and was a Thirty-second degree Mason. - New Albany Tribune 02 Jan 1926
