According to her marriage record Sarah was the daughter of Austin Whitney and Mary _____. However, her death record gives her parents as Samuel S Whitney and Sarah Foster. In 1900 she was living with her brother-in-law Edward Rice whose wife was named Sybil. Samuel Whitney and Sarah Foster had a daughter Sybil of similar age to Mrs Rice. Thus it is likely that Samuel Whitney and Sarah Foster were the parents of Sarah.

There is a record in Green Bower Cemetery which indicates she died in 1862 but this date was likely referring to her husband Addison who does have a stone there and who died in 1862. She was living in Winchendon MA in 1880 & 1900. She was probably NOT buried in Green Bower Cemetery.
