Patty Jean Beer Bromagen, 73, of Mt. Sterling, widow of Howard Bromagen died Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. She was born June 1, 1940 to Velma Clay Risner Ross and the late Eddie Beer.

Patty was a native of Montgomery County, a graduate of Mt. Sterling High School and a faithful member of Spring Street Baptist Church. Patty was devoted to serving God, her family and her community. She honorably served her community as Montgomery County's Circuit Court Clerk for 25 years until her retirement in 2000. Patty was a humanitarian, always concerning herself with the welfare and happiness of people. She never met a stranger; greeting everyone with a big smile, and always helping and encouraging others. She had a special love for animals and spent many years supporting the Montgomery County Humane Society. Many will remember Patty for her kind spirit and compassion, but above all her love for her family and God. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Survivors include; her mother, Velma Ross of Mt. Sterling; two sons, Rick (Lorie) Goodpaster and Jeff Goodpaster both of Mt. Sterling; two grandchildren, Josh (Rebakah) Goodpaster of Mt. Sterling and Lisa (Jon) Price both of Jeffersonville; three great grandchildren, Kiah Faith Goodpaster and Kadie Lynn Goodpaster both of Mt. Sterling, and Brandon R. J. Price of Jeffersonville; three sisters, Brenda (Bob) Davis of Washington, Treva (Glen) Robinson of Indiana and Barbara Beer of Morehead.
