Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Guyn, Kurtz and Hager Funeral home for Mrs. Nannie D. Brooks of Jessamine County, who died Sunday night at her home on the Sugar Creek pike after a long illness. Besides her husband, she is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Helen Carter, Mrs. Charles Teater, Mrs. William Teater, Mrs. Cecil Cooley, Mrs. Bradie Teater and Mrs. Carl Peel, all of Jessamine County; three sisters, Mrs. W. W. Roberts, Nicholasville, Mrs. Carlisle Hulett, and Mrs. Arkie Carter, both of Jessamine County; three brothers, Sam and Roland Dean of Oklahoma; and Sherman Dean, Sr., of Jessamine County; and 30 grandchildren. Rev. Charles Turkington and Rev. Charles Williams officiated and burial was in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers were Kirby Teater, Ray Dean Carter, Harry Brooks, Virgil Teater, Tucker Cooley and Clarence Brooks.
