Catharine was the daughter of Jacob Worley (born 1760s; died bef 26 Feb 1836) and Phebe Hiatt Worley (born 23 Jul 1766), both of whom probably died in Highland County. Jacob and Phebe were married before 20 Dec 1788 at Westfield Monthly Meeting (Quakers), Surry Co, NC. They came to Highland County in 1805.
