He was predeceased by his loving wife, Helen (nee Reynolds) of 42 years and 2 brothers: Alvin Peterson of Austin TX and Ernest Peterson of Albuquerque NM.
Glenn was born in Omaha, Nebraska and entered the US. Coast Guard in 1947, where he served proudly along the Atlantic and Gulf Coasts, Greenland, Alaska and Washington, DC for 21 years.
After receiving his Masters Degree from George Washington University, Glenn spent the next 21 years at University of Miami's Jackson Memorial Hospital, retiring as Exec. VP in 1988, to care for his ailing wife, Helen. During this period he was a key figure in directing the building of Memorial Hospital West in Hollywood, FL.
In 1994, working as the Parish Administrator of St. Mark's Lutheran Church/Hollywood, he meet his second wife, Gail. Retiring to Viera, during the next 13 years they enjoyed traveling from the Arctic Ocean to Antarctica, exploring all 50 states, and most of the Canadian provinces.
Glenn worked as a guardian ad litem (helping children from difficult home situations through the Courts) for Brevard County; was a Red Cross volunteer at Patrick Air Force Base; ushering at church; helping with computers wherever needed (mostly, the extent of this volunteering was asking Gail to figure it out....) He enjoyed fishing; collecting carved ducks and also lunch boxes -- they have many in their home.
