The funeral of Mr. H. A. J. Adkins, father of Mrs. John Selmer occurred Thursday afternoon from the family residence in North Watertown. Rev. A.M. Work, Ph. D. officiating.
Mr. Adkins was a soldier during the war of the rebellion having served with a Vermont regiment. In his declining years he availed himself of the benefit of the home provided for the comrades at Hot Springs, where he died last Sunday. The remains were laid to rest beside those of his life companion in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
