Janet R. Ferguson, 81, of Richmond Twp., died Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012, of natural causes in the Reading Hospital & Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Lewis E. Ferguson, who died in 2000. Born in Maxatawny Twp., she was the daughter of the late Robert & Essie (Angstadt) Welder. She had worked for the former Talbert Knitting Mill and was a member of the Ladies Aux. of the Lyons Fire Company.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Lynn Ferguson, wife of Brian J. Wetzel, Kempton; two stepgrandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Mark L. Ferguson, and siblings: Luther, Kenneth, & Robert Welder, and Annabelle Ritzman.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, Jan. 16, 2012, at 11 AM from the Edward J. Hildenbrand Funeral Home Inc., 346 W. Main St., Kutztown. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Kutztown. Friends may call Monday from 10 AM until time of service at the funeral home.
