Lorine J. "Babe" Lentz, 86, of Hillsboro died on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012, at National Health Care in St. Charles, MO.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 12, at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 13, at the funeral home with Pastor James Bailie of Schram City Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro.
Mrs. Lentz was born in Hillsboro on Jan. 19, 1925, the daughter of Charles A. and Gertie I. (Beers) McLean. She married Clifford O. Lentz in Hillsboro on Sept. 14, 1946, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 12, 1992.
A resident of Hillsboro all her life, she was employed as a garment worker at dress factories in Hillsboro and Litchfield for 41 years before retiring in 1987. She was also a member of United Garment Workers Union Local 394 and Schram City Baptist Church.
Mrs. Lentz is survived by one brother, Bill (wife Janice) McLean of Hillsboro and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, the Rev. Charles R. McLean; and two sisters, Lucille Craig and Loretta "Pauline" Pierce.
