CATHARINE CRUMLEY DIES IN THIS CITY
Mrs. Catherine Stephens Crumley, widow of the late Samuel Crumley, died at her home, 403 East Vine Street, Saturday afternoon at 3 o’clock, after a short illness of disease incidental to old age.
Mrs. Crumley was born in *Cook county, Pa., October 15, 1835. More than 65 years ago [19 Feb. 1853], she was married to Mr. Samuel Crumley of Coshocton county and later removed to Mt. Vernon where they resided for many years.
Seven [six] children were born to this union—Dr. A. W. Crumley [a dentist], Mrs. Lester [Emma] Williams, Miss Gertrude Crumley and Mrs. Frank [Eleanor] Moore, all of Mt. Vernon, and Mrs. Charles [Lola J] Waddell and W. H. [Harry] Crumley, now deceased. She is also survived by four grand-children, F. C. Waddell and Miss Helen Crumley of Mt. Vernon, Miss Cleophus Crumley of Cleveland and Harry Crumley of New York. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. C. M. [Martha Jennie] Skillen and Mrs. Arthur [Melinda] Parrott of Pasadena, California.
Mrs. Crumley was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church of this city. Funeral services at 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon at the house, Rev. Foster C. Anderson officiating. Burial in Mound View cemetery.
