After completing High School, James joined the United States Army and served for two years. James received a Good Conduct Medal. James was honorably discharged as a SP5. James was a dedicated employee of The Arthur Correctional Facility in Staten Island. James was hired as a Correctional Officer Sergeant. After several years, James was promoted to Captain.
