"Mrs. Doris C. Burton, 87, formerly of Bennett Street and Tioga Avenue, Kingston, died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2005, at Wesley Village, Jenkins Township, where she had been a guest for the past eight years.

Mrs. Burton was born in Sheatown, Newport Township, a daughter of the late Ernest A. and Marjory (Peters) Ogin, and was a graduate of Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, and of Wilkes-Barre Business College. She had been a secretary with John Lloyd and Sons, Wilkes-Barre, for 15 years. Mrs. Burton was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Wilkes-Barre, where she was past president of the Lutheran Church Women and was active with Project Circle. She was a member of the former Christ Lutheran Church, Wilkes-Barre.

She was preceded in death by her husband Donald I. Burton and by brothers Ernest Ogin Jr. and Elwood Ogin.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law ----- and ----- , Forty Fort; a nephew -----; several cousins.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday with services at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, South Main and East South streets, Wilkes-Barre. The Rev. Janell D. Wigen, pastor, will officiate, and interment will be in Emmanuel U.C.C. Cemetery, Dorrance.

Friends may call Sunday 2 to 4 p.m. at H. Merritt Hughes Funeral Home Inc., 451 N. Main St., Wilkes-Barre, and are asked to go directly to Good Shepherd Church on Monday.

The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorial donations be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 190 S. Main St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18701, or to a charity of the donor's choice."
