RALEIGH—Doris M. Alford, 65, of 3830 Blue Ridge Road, died Friday November 10, 2000. She was born in Wake County, the daughter of the late Nellie Hicks and Lyman Moore and was preceded in death by two brothers, Horace L. Moore and Douglas E. Moore.
She was a retired bookkeeper after 38 years of service and was a member of South Main Baptist Church.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 14, 2000 at Oakwood Cemetery with the Rev. Gary Vassar officiating.
Mrs. Alford is survived by her son Billy Alford and his wife, Cindy of Knightdale; sisters, Janie Rambeaut of Wendell, and Mary Norris of Cary; brother, Lyman D. Moore Jr. of Ocala, Fla.
Friends may visit with the family from 7-8:30 Monday evening at Bright Funeral Home in Wake Forest, and at the home of Mary Norris 422 Walnut St., Cary at all other times.
