Allen was a son of Charles Boettger and Susannah Hamacher. He was born in Waterloo Twp; in 1894. Birth Register #033696.

When he was 21 years old he enlisted in the Canadian Army on March 26, 1916 in Berlin, Waterloo County.
Attestation Papers #751611.

After the war he married Elizabeth Fries in Kitchener on June 21, 1926. Marriage Statement #025931.

They raised 4 children, 3 boys & 1 girl.

While working at York Trading Company in Kitchener, Allen died suddenly on May 16, 1950. He was only 55 years, 5 months and 4 days old.
