BLACK, Bertha Turner, 93, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord, Friday, February 3, 1995. She was the widow of George E. Black, a member of Grandin Court Baptist Church, and a retiree from both the Roanoke City School System and Oakey's Funeral Service. Mrs. Black was preceded in death by three sisters, Florence Turner Waldron, Ila Turner, and Lillie Barger. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, George and Mary Black, Fincastle, Cecil and Mary T. Black, Roanoke; a daughter and son-in-law, Josephine and Jack Williamson, Arlington; four grandchildren, Reg Black, Ronnie Black, Ty Williamson, Karen Seymour; three great-grandchildren.
