Frederick Floyd Marlowe of 1900 Cherry street, died at 11:35 a.m. Wednesday at Good Samaritan Hospital, at the age of 72 years, ten months and 24 days.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00p.m. at the Pulley Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Bird Green and the Rev R. B. Guthrie will officiate and burial will be in Oakwood cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the Pulley Funeral Home, where friends may call after 10 a.m. Friday.

Mr. Marlowe was born in Jefferson county April 17, 1884, the son of William and Ella (Rogers) Marlowe.

On March 15, 1924 he was married in Mt. Vernon, to Virginia Munroe, who survives.

Mr. Marlowe was a member of the first Presbyterian church. He was a veteran of World War I.

besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Frederick, Jr., and Byron, both of Rockford, Ill., a daughter, Virginia Hill of Baltimore, Md.; three brothers, Bernie of Champaign, Ill., Henry of Huntley, Ill., and Hall of Mt. Vernon; and three sisters, Herma Archer of Champaign, Lula Hunter of Bluford and Cecil Deedrick of Sadorus, Ill.

He added the "e" to Marlow after he was overseas during the war.
