Early Life: Della was born February 16, 1915, in Parowan, Iron County, Utah, to Wallace Marsh Gurr and Bathsheba James Gurr.
Life's Work | Service | Interests: Della married Virgil L. Baum; he preceded her in death. She later married Rex Delos Searle. He too, preceded her in death. Della attended Lincoln High School in Orem, Utah. She was employed by Jack's Café in Spanish Fork for over 20 years as manager and cook. She loved to bowl and go fishing at Fish Lake with the family. She and a group of friends played cards together for over 50 years. She enjoyed quilting and made beautiful quilts. Loving mother and grandmother, Della Gurr Baum Searle passed away peacefully at her granddaughter's home in Santaquin, Utah. She was 90 years old.
Survived By: Two sons: Dale (Neola) Baum, of Spanish Fork; Dean (Elaine, deceased) Baum, of Wisconsin; four stepchildren: Jack Searle, Don Searle, R.D. Searle, Rexene Jordan; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three sisters: Loa (David O.) MacKay, Wanda (Austin) Barney, LaVon (Omar) Hansen.
Preceded In Death By: Her husbands, Virgil Baum and Rex Searle; daughter, Darlene Baum; grandson, Brady Baum; brothers, Eugene Gurr and Wallace Gurr; sisters, Beth Wilburg and Margaret Hamblin; and special friend, Nina Huff.
