William ("Willie") Nathaniel Roberts was born February 25, 1896 in Georgia. On January 31, 1920, he married Birdie Mae Bell Roberts, and they had three sons, James Willie Roberts, Jay Harold Roberts, Sr., and Colon Hosteen Roberts. Willie died at the age of 72 on May 17, 1968. He is buried near his wife at the Olive Branch Baptist Church Cemetery in Bryan County, Georgia.
