He was an actor and his real name was Ivan Djrassimovic. Born from Croatian parents, he had Russian origins. He and his younger sister Rada - who is an actress, too – decided to begin their careers in the show business and studied drama at the "Teatro Stabile" in Trieste, Italy at first, and then in University. After taking his degree and serving in the army he moved to Rome to go on with his career. His first role in Italian movies was in "Super rapina a Milano", in 1964. Since then on he was very busy acting, as he made his appearance in at least two movies each year, until 1984, even in westerns. He also dubbed several movies into Italian. During the sixties he was well-known in Italy for acting in several photostories produced by the Italian photostory producer named "Lancio", where he also worked as a director. In fact, he followed many young actors there, and almost everyone was a bit frightened by his bossy glance, maybe due to his thick and raised eyebrows even if he was very kind and helped many of them with his great experience. He was very tall and so awesome that he was fondly called "Ivan il terribile". He put an end to his career with the Italian television series called "Appuntamento a Trieste", in 1988. At the beginning of his career he had a love story with the Spanish singer Sara Montiel and for a year and a half he lived with her in Spain. He married twice and his second wife is a nice girl from Greece, much younger than he, named Efi. They had a beautiful daughter named Alexandra. Unfortunately, Ivan died as a result of a long illness.
